Insufficient legal knowledge is risky for practitioners

This article aims to examine some of the risks flowing from incompetence in the law. The structure of the article is to first give a broad outline of the risk. The second section looks at what the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 (the LPA) and the Code of Conduct issued in terms of that legislation prescribe in relation to competence.
